"Not just a collector's item, but a symbol of unity and cooperation, perfectly embodying the spirit of GO! 2025." This is how the stamp of the thematic series "The excellences of Italian Cultural Heritage" dedicated to Nova Gorica and Gorica European Capital of Culture 2025, joint with the Republic of Slovenia, whose issuance is among the initiatives of the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, was defined, and which was presented today in the City Hall Park. As part of the same initiative, an Italian Post Office station has been set up in the lobby of the City Hall, where people can get the postal cancellation and view the folder and philatelic material dedicated to the event. "After the stamp issued last year, with which the 20th anniversary of the fall of the last wall of Europe was celebrated," there is "the joint stamp between Italy and Slovenia celebrating the European Capital of Culture. It will go around the world, all postal administrations. Even in philately Gorizia and Nova Gorica have entered history," said Gorizia Mayor Rodolfo Ziberna. The latter pointed out that the stamp has a double issue, intended to celebrate unity. Concept also reiterated by Nova Gorica Mayor Samo Turel: "This stamp will bring our joint project to the world."
