Italian actress Alba Rohrwacher is on
the jury of this year's Cannes Film Festival from May 13 to 24,
organisers said Monday.
The announcement by the festival completes the group that with
Juliette Binoche as president will award the Palme d'Or on
Saturday 24 May.
With the Italian actress there are also the American actress and
director Halle Berry, the Indian director and screenwriter Payal
Kapadia, the French-Moroccan writer Leïla Slimani, the Congolese
director, documentary maker and producer Dieudo Hamadi, the
Korean director and screenwriter Hong Sang-soo, the Mexican
director, screenwriter and producer Carlos Reygadas and the
American actor Jeremy Strong.
Florence-born Rohrwacher, 46, sister of actress-director Alice,
most recently won plaudits in her sister's La Chimera and Pablo
Larrain's Maria starring Angelina Jolie as Maria Callas.
